I'm on the fence.

On one hand it's concerning because while we are in ok shape right now the number of big time recruits we are still in the mix for is way down compared to most years.

On the other hand barely over a month ago we looked like we were heading for another 2008 type season and possibly going to be looking for a new coach so obviously that's not attractive to recruits.

I'm worried our resurgence is too late to get back in on some guys but hopeful at the same time we can get a couple of big time guys to take another hard look if we can keep this momentum going through the rest of the year.

The staff likes to have big guys that no one knows is interested in us commit on signing day. One thing I won't ever melt about is auburn recruiting with the current staff

I think those concerns are valid. We have been spoiled by this staff with landing top 10 players 3 of the last 4 seasons with all 3 coming through on NSD (Montravius Adams, Byron Cowart & Derrick Brown). As of now I don't see any of those type of rated players on our radar & I think last season along with the negative recruiting has dulled our chances at players like that.

However I think we are building a very deep, well rounded class. Need to see how we finish at DL but if Garner closes as usual then I think we will be happy with the haul. Hopefully a strong finish on the field this season helps us put together a big time class in 2018 where we are already in play for some bigger prospects than this season (at least based off their early ratings)
