and 2014's No. 1 overall recruit, Da'Shawn Hand, who is currently a backup defensive end at Alabama.

In Hand's case, Farrell said the 6-foot-4, 278-pounder fell victim to the numbers game at Alabama, especially after Jonathan Allen decided to return for his senior season. Even then, Hand is factoring heavily into the Tide's defensive line rotation and has 12 tackles, including a sack, to go along with a forced fumble and a hurry in seven games this year.

So Alabama gets a pass because it's just a "numbers game" there. They have so many 5 stars that it's OK if Hand is a back-up.

But the same can't be true for AU, right? AU has no talent at all ahead of Cowart. Right?

Hands also a year older than cowart... Putting his production half way through his sophomore season in the article would make more sense than what he's doing now.

Regardless, it's a click bait headline... the article isn't that bad, but it feels like our five star DL is being held to a higher standard than others.
