Did you know.. that was win #18 in a row?
10 wins away from tying our longest streak (done 2 times, at 28. 1991-1993 and 1978-1980.
The 18-game streak is the sixth-longest in school history (the record is 28 games, accomplished twice: 1991-93 & 1978-80) and the second-longest under the direction of head coach Nick Saban (19 games 2009-10). During the current stretch the Crimson Tide have won eight games at Bryant-Denny Stadium, six road games and four consecutive neutral-site games while going 11-0 against teams from the Southeastern Conference. During the streak, Alabama has outscored its opponents by 434 points (686-252; 38.1-14.0), an average of 24.1 points per game.
Fap.

m sure if Auburn had been playing like Alabama this season, you'd be plenty intrigued.
Of course I would. You're missing the point. I'm talking about it as a football fan. An SEC football fan. Other than for Alabama fans who have a vested interest because they are Alabama fans, the games have zero intrigue that's my point.

Let's see. You're an Auburn fan. Auburn had a shitty 6-6 team last year and as I recall it was close most of the way until a Muschamp meltdown took them out of it. They gave us a pretty good game in 2014 also. 2013 was fricking Kick Six. Not sure why you're writing off our entire schedule considering we have lost games every single year since 2010 and several teams are capable of competing

There is no parity in CFB. It''s always Bama, OSU, Oregon (replaced with Washington this year), and LSU (up until the last couple of years), and FSU. But at least those other teams have SOME competition. Who is Bama's competition? Maybe Ol Miss the last few years in conference? That's been about it.

So, of the five examples you cited, you stated two of them weren't permanent fixtures and have been replaced with another team. So, fully 40% of the top echelon of college football by your own pretextual statement is subject to turnover.
What point were you trying to make again?

you're talking as an Au fan. I enjoy seeing what others will do, even if not on Bama's team. Carl Lawson for instance. Dude is a baller and I enjoy seeing great defensive play. I remember a couple games against Tenn in the early 90's under Stallings that was low scoring.. 9-6 specifically. Defensive games are dramatic and awesome. Much better than wondering who will just get the ball last.

I'm spoiled because I like to watch a close football game? That's dumb man.
You're acting like I was mad that we were having one of our best seasons. I was thrilled, but the games just didn't have the same excitement.

I like seeing teams get their asses beat (and not the kind of way Aggots like to do it).
PS: Tennessee, A&M and Auburn beats Bama this year. Fact.

Not really. Two teams I don't care about yeah. But your favorite team most people want to see kick arse rather than lose or risk losing

I think anyone who really understands the game of football, and appreciates watching talented players excelling, along with masterful coaching and strategies... you will be intrigued by Alabama football. If not, then you just simply do not understand the game and what a dynasty is all about.
Go watch the last National Title game and tell me that didn't intrigue you.

Did you watch the Ole Miss game? Ole Miss plays a decent second half and they win. UT, A&M, Auburn, LSU can all beat Bama

I do like seeing my team kick arse. It's just close games are more exciting.
When we last played against Mizzou I found myself losing interest because there was no competition. But everybody is different I guess. Doesn't make me spoiled because blowouts don't hold my attention as well

. It's just close games are more exciting.
When LSU has a close game against Murray State you all get fricking pissed off and want to fire Les Miles. It's not exciting. When we play a team that, prior to the game, I think is capable of competing and then instead we annihilate them. Like USC or Arky. That's fricking awesome. When we almost lose like we did to Ole Miss I'm stressed and yelling and worried. Sure it's better for the neutral fan and maybe if I rewatch the game a year later it will be more exciting but in the moment domination is so much more fun. Does that not make sense?

I was watching football in Baghdad when you were still in your dad's bag, junior.
Bama has gamed the system and it is no longer on a level playing field, which makes the games less intriguing. Like I said earlier, it's like watching a 6A HS team play a 3A schedule. The talent disparity is too great for the game to have any intrigue or interest as a football fan.
