To be fair, Chex has been unabashed about his man crush on SW. Others don't seem to consider him elite and I'm cool with them, mostly. On the opposite end of the spectrum,I don't see anybody saying SW is a shitty QB either. To the less extreme, the majority of the cynicals are willing to point out his faults just like he is any other player.

Better measure of SW's performance since becoming the full time starter after the three-headed QB experiment against Clemson:
82-111 for 1047 yards, 6 TDs and 1 INT
73.9% completions
9.4 yards per attempt
Last 3 games:
47-61 for 677 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT
77.0 % completions
11.1 yards per attempt
I think with playcalling like we saw today, and a healthy KJ in the backfield, we shouldn't see significant drop off in those numbers even with allegedly tougher defenses on our remaining schedule.
If our OL play continues to improve, and if we could somehow get those young WRs in the mix, we have the potential to be pretty decent on offense the rest of the way. Lot of ifs there, but I'm considerably more optimistic than I was after the TAMU game.

Your argument is effectively about avg defense faced, we are all just pointing out that his two biggest passing games and 5/6 TDs have come against Sun Belt teams.
Those numbers change a decent bit when you do TAMU/LSU/MSU
51-71 for 564 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT
71% comp
7.944 Y/A
188ypg, .333TD, .333INT

If we playcall like we did today and are healthy, I expect better numbers.

So over 10 yards per completion and 70%+ completion percentage...Oh, what shitty stats for a Qb

And you expect our Tigers to win with THAT? ;)

You are the only one saying they are shitty stats

Before you get all high and mighty about this stat, Barrett Trotter avg 12.9 yards/completion which is equal to what SW has thus far in 2016

Since taking over as our full time QB, SW is averaging 10+ yards per attempt - not per completion. Even with the Clemson game included, his ypa is 9.0, best in the SEC and #16 nationally.
Don't have time to see what Trotters ypa was in 2011, but according to cfbstats.com he wasn't in the top 100 nationally, which means it was below 6.1.

It is weird to see SW''s ypc so high. Definitely since in the A&M game it was so low. Hence my theory that his stats are boosted against weaker teams.

Related to Sean White's stats - love seeing Tony Stevens as a top 5 WR in the league. That drop-pick yesterday was bad but Tony has elevated his game this year big time.

Did you not see where I was specifically responding to what Chex said about yards/completion
