Couple of things for you to ponder before you lose your mind after watching circus O last weekend.

The Defense looked really good. Like top 3 in the SEC good. All layers, line, lb, secondary.

It should be easier to get better the next game if we go to a Sean White style offense. Obviously Gus had all summer to do this but now that the defense looks freaking dominate, its quite possible Sean style may be enough to win - something Gus didn't believe until he saw the d on display.

We haven't been able to stop a decent offense since Oregon and before that in 2008.

This is a big deal for Gus to get done. He gets credit for that.

Now its time to find an offense that score 28. That's it 28 and our defense carries us.

Can Gus and Sean do it? I think so.

If Gus can't find an offense to put on the field, that defense won't make it five games before it is beaten up and broken down. You can only strand them on the field for so long.

I think this is possible, and I'm now concerned Gus is going to have a super dialed back offense. Both as a somewhat reasonable response to to the defense and as a "frick you" to those who didn't see the genius in the twirly bird Cox gameplan.

"here's your standard offense you ungrateful fricks!"
