I'll believe they'll be punished after it actually happens.

In addition to banning the band from playing Dixie, Ole Miss has announced they are moving the entire campus to Long Island to be more inclusive.

I recall watching the College Football Signing Day Special on ESPN the day Ole Miss signed Treadwill, Tunsil and Nkemdiche- all 5 star (and I think a couple of others) and a bunch of 4 star players- and more than a handful were listed as Top 5 in the US in their individual position groups and none of the kids were Mississippi kids. I think the three I listed were #1 at their position. I remember thinking how a program like Ole Miss is pulling these kids without cheating. Well, I think we have our answer.

Either way, I love seeing the runts squirm.

The real question here is, how long will it take Southern Miss to recover from the sanctions that are coming?

I had the exact same reaction. Before that they were bad...real bad.

I don't keep up with USM, you'll have to fill me in on this.

Extremely arrogant cheating.
The worst part about this is when all the accusations started flowing in Freeze actually responded back by saying things like "If you think we're cheating then send it to the compliance department". Never should have opened his mouth about it. Dude will get fired if these sanctions are bad enough.

I think it's a play on the old Jerry Tarkanian quote after Kentucky basketball was caught cheating :
"The NCAA is so mad at Kentucky they're going to give Cleveland State another year of probation."- referring to the NCAA's reluctance to punish the blueblood programs but will come down hard on smaller programs.
Mississippi State is no innocent either, did they ever get punished for their role in the recruitment of Cam Newton? I believe they offered the Newton family $160K but were outbid by Auburn.

About time,I hope Ole Miss burns to the ground. They hate LSU so much I just can't pull for them even when playing teams out conference or if it helps LSU. Like others had said it was so obvious they were cheating it wasn't even a question. I mean why would any 5 star recruit not from Mississippi go to Ole Miss and they pull like 4 in 1 year? Yea right...

Yes, I was making a joke on this.

Auburn apparently covered their tracks well while MSU left some sort of paper trail, IIRC. Or at least there were verified conversation between both parties where Newton was willing to give MSU a discount because Newton had a relationship with Dan Mullin during his time at Florida and wanted to play for the guy. NFL agent buddy says Alabama and Oklahoma are the best at covering their tracks and Alabama only had to pay $100K for Mark Ingram.
