OR find out they hate it. Our son is 29 years old and an attorney here in Atlanta. Thought he would like it because he loved law school. Turns out he loves the law but not the clients. he is in a practice that does criminal and family law. Everybody is a liar or an a-hole or both. Nobody is at their best when getting divorced or looking at jail.

He desperately wishes he was doing something else, but doesnt know where to start. I've hooked him up with various interviews but the second they find out he is a bar passed lawyer, they wonder if he is over educated and why somebody in that field would leave it.

Law can be the basis for many things, but up and starting over is HARD.

Send him to Johnson O'Connor or something similar. It's very enlightening.

I knew a guy like that. When I was 17 I had a summer job at a carwash. The manager was a lawyer for 10 years but he hated it and was miserable. So he quit and idk why he went to the carwash, or if it was just he first thing he found but he started off there at the bottom vacuuming and cars and drying them with a towel.
Because he was a smart guy it only took him a year or so to become assistant manager and he eventually worked his way up to regional manager over several locations and making pretty good money.

Seemed weird at the time, but I guess he's just a free spirit type because he spends his free time following bands like Phish and Widespread Panic.
