I've really had pursuing a minimalist type lifestyle in mind for the past year or two...not necessarily early retirement, but easier, simple living. I've wondered how much income a truly chilled/happy lifestyle would require. My guess is that it's really not that much....

Im in that same category Jim. I have worked pretty hard for a while now. I do not want to work like I have been for the next 10-15 years. Id like to enjoy my 50's.

My wife and I have been planning on early retirement for 20 years. Hopefully, things will stay steady, nothing major will happen and it will work. Its not a easy thing to do really. I dont want to just stop and dry up but I would love to slow down in a much sunnier , warm place and enjoy life for a while. I can still work a few days to bring in some cash and my wife can get a job anywhere we go.

Just need a few things to work out over the next few years and maybe the plan will work.

Started a part time job at BassPro until I can figure out a long term career deal. It's worth it just for the discount. Spend my paycheck on rods and reels.

Everyone in the fishing department is either a guide or tournament fisherman.
