Going to be in St Louis June 11 and looking for for a good place to eat dinner. Staying downtown near the arch. Never been before. Any suggestions? Always like a good steakhouse or seafood.

Try Charlie Gitto's on the hill. It was fantastic when we went there last summer.

Citizen Kane's in Kirkwood was rated as a top 20 steakhouse in the country at one time. I've heard nothing but great things about it. But you will be paying like you're eating at a top 20 steakhouse in the country.
Peacemaker Lobster and Crab is probably the top spot for seafood. It's much closer to downtown as well. The chef/owner is James Beard nominated and once worked in the kitchen at Commander's Palace in NOLA. They make twice daily trips to Lambert airport to pick up fresh fish to serve at the restaurant.

I was in town for a deposition a while back and ate at Al's down on the riverfront. It was a neat old place with great ambiance and the food was good. Very traditional white-tablecloth steakhouse with tableside preparation.
