quote:Yes, Nick Marshall had experience at the position. He started at least 3 years in high school, 1 year in Junior College and 2 years at Auburn. People don't understand he was a quarterback basically his entire life.
NM had years of experience playing the QB position. JFIII has what, half a season splitting time at JUCO?
John Franklin III was a quarterback during the 2013 season at Florida State on the scout team (he was "Nick Marshall" before FSU played Auburn in the BCSNCG), and he was also a quarterback during the 2014 season at Florida State (played a little receiver towards the end of the season). I'm willing to bet he would've started in Junior College if their starter didn't return. He also played high-school quarterback, although I'm unsure of how many years he started.
In short, both have been quarterbacks and Nick Marshall had no more experience when he got to Auburn when compared to JFIII.
quote:deep throw =/= 10 yard swing pass.
And yes, JFIII has zero accuracy on deep throws. Hell, he one hopped Roc on a ten yard swing pass
I'm sure I could cherry pick bad throws by all quarterbacks in a game that doesn't matter.
quote:Boy, you really are reaching now.
Might as well trot out Rudy Ford to play Qb or one of the other fast guys, cause you know, Gus only needs a fast mobile Qb to win championships LOL. Why not start Jason Smith? He is fast and mobile. No love for him as our Qb?
You do realize Jason Smith was switched to receiver shortly after he got to campus, right? JFIII is still at quarterback, right?

This is what you just posted. Plus, playing a back up role in JUCO is not the same as being the starting Qb for an entire season like NM did. Its not the same, like, at all. Didnt NM break high school records as well at Qb ? Seems i remember something to that effect.
NM also weighs 20 more pound. JFIII will break like a twig within three games if we have to rely primarily on his legs to win.
