Yeah, another crappy offseason thread...but with a twist. I'll say...

1. Saban (obviously)
2. Stallings
3. Franchione
4. Dubose (the '99 SECC keeps him ahead of Shula)
5. Shula

Probably could've slid Price in there between Fran and Dubose, but you sorta have to coach a game to qualify.

Can't include Muschamp, b/c he hasn't coached a game here yet. Out of the previous 5 who did:

Spurrier
Morrison
Holtz
Sparky
Fat Brad

1. Bret Bielema (this is a stretch to place him over Petrino at this point, but I am a firm believer in our current coach. 39 players drafted, despite being a HC for less than 10 years, and never once cracking the top 20 in recruiting rankings tells me this guy is a damn good at spotting talent and developing it. I think he will prove to be better than Petrino)
2. Bobby Petrino
3. Houston Nutt
4. Danny Ford
5. John L. Smith (interim coach, I know, but he did basically receive a one year job interview and failed miserably. That guy didn't even know which school he was coaching while he was here.)

I'll give this a shot - but frankly, AU's HCs are all a mixed bag of pretty good and Gawd-awful.

1. Dye
2. Tubs
3. Malzahn
4. Chiz
5. Bowden

Unlike every other SEC school, all five of AU's most recent HCs finished a season ranked in the AP top 4 while at AU.

And thus far, four of five have ended their AU careers with a losing season
