Is it too late to get rid of him??
I was extremely pleased with our WR's effort in the spring game with very little to no drops.
Carry on.

He's right. We only run about 5 different WR routes.

Ole Gussie's Offense sure put a hurting thru the air on Smart/Saban a couple of years ago(400+) with a converted DB at QB.

Gus said no qb coaches except him and the oc. Right. So Craig had to coach wr.

And we all also said Gus shouldn't be coaching the QBs. We never expected it to happen, but it's what most of us wanted.

From the very thing you quoted it sounds like he was more upset with the overall scheme and not learning a route tree, which is very much a big deal in the NFL.

No need to beat a dead horse but why would it not be in AUs best interest for your Qbs to see an outside qb coach?

Fluke year with several miraculous wins.
See a trend?
2013 - 12-2, no crystal football
2014 - 8-5
2015 - 7-6
2016 - ???
Of course, most folks know the barn only has one instance of back to back 10 win seasons in their entire history (in the late 80's), and we went to the Sugar Bowl during one of those years.

He showed signs of not being able to catch consistently very early on. The 2015 AU vs Ark game is the epitome of his overall career. Any time a ball was thrown his way the coaches had no confidence he could haul it in. JMO. Physically he was top 5. Ability to catch the ball and get positive yards...he was terrible.

Yep, they are too dumb to realize Louis is really trashing the offensive scheme.

If you read the quotes he's basically just shitting on Gus' scheme more than anything

Coach pride, IMO. It's most definitely in the best interest of the team.

As were AU fans in terms of recruiting pocket passers. Dual threat + read-option/play action/bubble screens. That's what Gus should stick with. But

“I would say that the Browns saw things from me that other teams didn’t see,”Louis said, according to ClevelandBrowns.com. “They understand that I was in a scheme at Auburn that didn’t require me to run very many routes, very diverse or complex routes and the fact that I was not developed as receiver at the time. Going into the (NFL) Combine, I wanted to prove to everybody that I was versatile and I was able to run routes and catch balls smooth and well. Doing that, looking ahead, they got to see that they can develop me and mold me into the receiver they want me to be.”
so High School is an appropriate nickname for Gus Malzahn then?

Sure, why not? But what does that say about Arkansas when a high school coach can win the SEC before them?
