Uh....n..noooooooo. I was not at that game, but I WAS the one sitting in the W Upper at Davis Wade in 2013 with my two friends.
Seconds after we were seated, someone rang a cowbell right behind our heads. Since I normally don't have this bizarre sound in everyday life, my head INVOLUNTARILY jerked around (as one would do if a firecracker popped behind you.)

In their infinite wisdom of gracious good sportsmanship, your Maroon bretheren somehow came to the mysterious conclusion that that involuntary jerk of my head was some sort of insult.

So they proceeded to KEEP DOING THE SAME frickING THING ALL GAME LONG (though I never moved my head in the slightest the rest of the game.)

That is, until the score got out of hand.

So, no, you are incorrect. I actually was not at the game in BR in 2014, but if I had, I certainly wouldn't have been sitting near any of you........

Well, at that moment I was I wasn't expecting it to be RIGHT BEHIND MY EAR as soon as we sat down. It honestly didn't bother me outside of the stadium. Just wasn't expecting it that CLOSE
I wanted to turn around and TELL them that I wasn't INSULTED by their initial ringing, just sort of temporarily stunned, but these were big 'ol boys in overalls....
