His sister was also hired to that same company in 2014. I don't know what the rules are on that but it seems like this has to perk the NCAA ears up a little bit, no?

Not if it's done on the fifth Tuesday of the month. Other than that. Yes.

That's very dangerous territory. If they hired the sister after he attended the camp, then one could make an argument he's been ineligible the whole time.

Having said that, LSU went nowhere this year so the NCAA should just let it go.

Are LSU fans ready to admit that Ben Simmons has been bad for LSU basketball?

disagree. i don't know the rules to say one way or the other but if they broke one then they deserve to get punished regardless of season outcome.

this is exactly why the one and done system is so wrong for college BBall. I'm sure agreeing in principle with agents for kids like him happen all the time but to admit it publicly by the agent/athlete does not look good.

Usually when you have the #1 player in the country and a NCAA investigation possibly you have something to show for it.. SEC Championship, Final Four, SOMETHING..

Yall have all this now and don't even have a NIT invitation to show for it..

Only if you could show LSU knew about it ahead of time.

Otherwise, you're punishing a bunch of players and coaches who did nothing wrong. IMO, the way the season went was punishment enough.

I hope this isn't true. I like LSU, and besides, Ole Miss is the one that needs to be made an example of.

Bingo. This is a pretty clear cut violation unless there was a compliance officer standing next to them the entire time telling each what to say. Talking to an agent isn't a violation, but talking about signing is a big no-no. Hopefully the narrative is focused on how stupid the one and done rules are and LSU gets painted as the victim. :fingers crossed:

well i'm just saying if they screwed the pooch then they deserve punishment otherwise it's back to a cam 'he didn't know' newton situation which i've always thought was the biggest crock of shite excuse in the world. they are supposed to know the rules and ensure they are followed. that's why the rules are in place so either the ncaa enforces the rules or they'll never get their balls back.
