Today's win over Tennessee marks the 8th 20+ win season of Andy Kennedy's 10 year run at Ole Miss. He won 19 in 13-14 and had three starters go down with season ending injuries early in the 08-09 campaign. He could very easily be 10/10 regarding the 20 win mark.

Let me give you a little perspective into just how impressive his tenure in Oxford has been:

Ole Miss has a sub .500 (.498) winning percentage throughout a 106 year history. Ole Miss has 15 total 20+ win seasons ALL TIME - 8 of which belong to Kennedy. Ole Miss has made the NCAA Tournament 8 times and have won 5 Tournament games total. Kennedy accounts for two of those appearances and also two wins. Let's remember he was snubbed by the committee twice, winning 24 games in both 2007 and 2009 to no avail of an NCAA birth. Lastly, who can forget the run in 12-13 as he led the Rebels to their second SEC Tournament Championship in program history?

He's managed to do all of this in the absolute worst basketball facility in the conference with minimal recruiting prowess and scarce fan support. With the addition of the Pavilion, he will turn Ole Miss into a perennial tournament team and an upper echelon program within the SEC.

The man is a wizard

I hate on the man a lot and he irritates the piss out of me sometimes, but I'm glad he is our coach. Unless he leaves or completely collapses as a coach, he will be here until he retires.

This is odd. Y'all wanted him gone the last couple of years, no?

Kennedy isn't a wizard, he's just not a complete buffoon like the coaches y'all have always hired in the past. He's a solid coach and glad to see he has Ole Miss in track finally.

LSU fans would think he was Phil Jackson. After the run of bad coaches we have had we would settle for above averages

I don't know about "underrated", but he definitely seems to be under-appreciated at Ole Miss.

Wasn't he about to get run out of town a year or two ago?

Also, while it's easy to look at 2 ncaa tourney appearances total at ole miss (10 years), it's also 2 in the last 4 years -- which isn't bad.

With a slightly beefier OOC schedule ya'll probably make another tourney or two during that time frame.
