The number one advantage is they hold the State name. In most states, the University of ....... always has a bigger fan base. That has always translated to the HS Coaching and how they direct their players toward certain schools. Auburn is in a unique position for recruiting based on their location, otherwise they would be fighting a much tougher battle in recruiting.
