So some computer geek writing on a blog crated some kind of formula. So?
Bill's work is awesome and generally very good, but some teams don't necessarily fit the same mold. This formula works on the idea that players get better as they get older, young player aren't ready to contribute, etc. It applies to 90% of college football programs. It just doesn't to us outside of massive changes in key positions, generally.

Wrong on both counts.

We don't care about those rankings, we are STACKED! There is so much talent on campus right now, it makes the Broncos envious.

This chart can find some teams that have better than expected years, but it doesn't mean every one is going to have a great year (and Bill says that).
Some teams that proved to be undervalued that this noted from last year
#2 - North Carolina (92% O, 81% D, 87% OVR)
#5 - Georgia State (75% O, 94% D, 84% OVR)
#6 - Temple (77% O, 90% D, 83% OVR)
#10 - California (84% O, 79% D, 82% OVR)
Some teams that it didn't quite work for
#1 - UMass (90% O, 90% D, 90% OVR)
#9 - Vanderbilt (74% O, 91% D, 82% OVR)
#10 - Texas Tech (80% O, 83% D, 82% OVR)

I didn't say that but we are close. Starters don't always mean your best player. State has ALWAYS started upper class men to reward them for sticking with the system. State is known to have one of the hardest strength and conditioning programs at any level. Younger guys might be better but you reward older guys and start them. Younger guys can come in and play more, just don't start

This says you're 104th in the nation?
It's not based on starters FYI
I'd imagine we probably weren't much better off at the beginning of this past season, maybe worse...especially considering we only returned 2 starters on offense (losing 80-90% of our receiving production and 'bout 90% of our passing production) and we didn't rotate near as much on our D-line. We still ended up doin' pretty OK, I think...
I feel reasonably confident we'll finish better than 104th among FBS schools next season...

What's your point? We lose players every year. We lose starters, backups, scout team, graduates every damn year. Bama still manages to field championship challengers and as long as Saban's running this factory expect more of what you've seen over the last 7-8 years.

UMass was #1 going into 2015 and they went 3-9
UMass is #119 going into 2016. YIKES!

I don't think there's a need to explain. Not to anyone who doesn't regularly lick windows, at least.

You're going to need around the clock support after that 104th ranked team of non-contributors leaves Baton Rouge next November.

Maybe Miles should look into it. Y'all might could win more than 8 games with all those FIVE STARSS

Print the shirts because LSU isn't winning anything major this year in football. You thought you were gonna have the #1 recruiting class but that was mostly hype. That's what you had last year and that's all your program is anymore. Hype.

Really?
The east opponent sees UGA on the road replaced with Kentucky at home.
Road trips to Auburn, aTm, and Mississippi State are swapped with trips to LSU, Arkansas, and Ole Miss.
If anything, replacing UGA with UK makes the 2016 schedule slightly easier than 2015.

This truly is setting up to be LSU's year. It will be interesting to see how they end up pissing it away.
