@Dedsports: Mississippi Gulf Coast WR Brandon Martin (6-4, 225, 4.37) has committed to Arkansas over LSU, Auburn, M-St. and others - will sign Thursday

Congrats on Martin!

For the most part, Gulf Coast’s signees had already made their decisions public. Only receiver Brandon Martin, who signed with LSU out of high school and later briefly committed to Auburn, remained uncommitted. The 6-foot-4 receiver opted to wait and sign Thursday with his family at home in Monroe, Louisiana. He told the Sun Herald he’ll sign with Arkansas over finalists LSU, Auburn and Mississippi State.
“I felt like it was the best fit,” Martin said. “It’s official now; I’m just going to sign tomorrow.”

Nice to get a highly rated player from Louisiana that LSU really wanted.
Good job Bert

How do you feel patton, martin, and Nance will fit into the rotation next year. Are any going to be ee?

With us losing four of our top five receives, I think Nance and Martin have the potential to get some good playing time. I do like some of the younger receivers though as well, Pettway being one.

I feel like Jones on one side and Martin on the other with their speed could be deadly. When's the last time Arkansas had 2 sub 4.4 guys on campus at the same time.

Martin is closer to 4.45 than sub 4.4

Early enrollees confirmed are...
4* TE Jeremy Patton
4* WR Brandon Martin
3* OT Shane Clenin
3* OT Kirby Adcock
3* WR Jonathan Nance
Still waiting on others...

Interested to see if Barkley or Jackson redshirts now. They might have anyway, but I figure Cornelius, Martin, Jones, Stewart and Pettway will all get first dibs on the rotation.

I think the rotation of WR's next year, if the JUCO guys work out will look something like Nance, Martin, Jordan Jones, Cornelius, and Pettway...Cornelius being the small one, will likely get Morgan's touches in the offense.

That's the lineup I was thinking of as well

So glad he will be back. Like I said, I like our younger receivers so far but it would be brutal to not have one guy back with significant experience. I think we are really going to see him take it up a step next year.
