We're going to have 27 WR's on the roster soon.

Enough QBs to get them the ball, too.

We'll have 5 scholarship WR's on the roster, assuming no one transfers, after this season.

Yea, we will be losing Reed, Hatcher, Hawkins, Hollister, and Morgan.
Losing a lot at the WR position.

just a general comment on the lack of depth in the '17 Ark High School class.
While, it does look like the crop is a bit down, it's still early.
I looked back at an archived version of '16's arkansas HS recruits from a year ago on 247 and there were only 8 listed:
Mctelvin Agim(4 stars, 94.05)
Austin Capps(4 stars, 92.79)
Deontre Hardwick(4 stars, 91.11)
John Tate(3 stars, 89.30)
Kasey Ford(3 stars, 88.19)
Damarea Crockett(3 stars, 86.89)
Jordan Jones(3 stars, 85.70)
TJ Hammonds(3 stars, 83.33)
While mctelvin and capps were already identified as being solid prospects, its worth noting that Mctelvin was still well outside the top 100 and Agim, capps, hammonds and jones(the 4 we took) all ended up gaining recruiting points through the year(Hammonds may have been outside the top 1000 a year ago) while others(crockett, hardwick, tate, etc) fell off. Its also noteworthy that while there were only 7 total listed a year ago, the Ark HS class ended up with 23 recruits listed at 3 stars or higher on 247 by the end of their senior year.
point being, a lot happens during senior years and once offers roll in. We are getting evidence this week of that with Montaric Brown of Ashdown, who is good enough to get offers from Bama, LSU, Auburn and Arkansas, but doesnt have a star yet

Hollister started at Nevada and redshirted. Played his RSFR year at JUCO. Transferred to Ark and played Soph season. Played last season as a junior, got injured, but came back at end of season.
Hawkins redshirted in 2012 and ran with the scout team.

6. Cornelius, Stewart, Pettway, Duwop, Boateng, Jones. And only 1 senior.
Plus Antwine sees the field a lot and Luke Rossi is listed in our 2 deep.
Add Barnes and whoever else we sign and we'll have a shite ton of WRs.

Sooo, you're saying there might be an opportunity to improve the position...?

Yea. I'd guess we would take about 3-4 WRs this class. Maybe 3 then an ATH type kid.

2017 class is now full with Gafford and Hall. Roster moves will have to be made for any more room in that class.

Montaric Brown was finally rated by 247. He's now a 4* and the #9 overall Safety prospect. Obviously he's a must have prospect for the Hogs.

Anyone who hasn't watched his Hudl vid needs to.

What's the PG situation looking like?
Barford for a year w/ Beard backing him up or will we see Barford/Beard/Hannahs-Macon combo going w/ the hot hand?
If Macon and Barford can continue their JUCO production that could be a decent backcourt, add in Beard, Hannahs, and hopefully a Jimmy Whitt with a pulse. Maybe they'll win the guard play on a more regular basis.
I still don't like the way the roster is filled out, there's still a talent deficiency and Mike's last minute pickups aren't helping that problem.
