Again, the fear is he becomes the face on the NFL. He is doing it his way, and the establishment does not approve.

That was said about Namath in 1967 thru 1969. Last time I checked Namath is a European-American.

I mean, I guess? Some old fuddy duddies probably don't like an uppity black QB that dances and smiles being the face of the NFL, but I think the majority of America either likes him or hates him, but I don't think the "face of the league" thing matters much to them.
