I realize that this will not be a popular opinion here, and will undoubtedly prompt several Alabama trailer park/weird people pics, but Louisiana really is an ugly arse state. New Orleans is fun, but it's still a nasty place and the town smells like garbage. The whole state just sucks.

I can drive 30 minutes and catch fresh water. I can drive 45 minutes and catch salt water. I can drive about 20 minutes and kill all the ducks I want and drive about 2 hours for deer.

As someone originally from Greene County, I can vouch for this. Go to Roebuck's Landing outside of Eutaw and you will find some spots on the Black Warrior very similar to the one in OP.
