Woof

Starting pitching is going to do us in if we aren't careful.

Terrible start for Tac.

Bernal should have had an out/double play and Cole had a ball pop out of his glove.

But Tac dug himself in this hole.

Nice to see Tac settle down.

That, or SCar has just become disinterested in his pitches.

8-1 top 6

Our pitching hasn't been that great and our batting has been average at best.

I miss Benintendi

Not a good weekend for them. Some probably took too much out of that weekend in Houston.

This team has flaws. Like, not much pitching and streaky hitting.

Seems like these things work themselves out as the season goes on with Van Horn teams.

As our young pitchers come around, the other teams veterans may be wearing down.

I'm not ready to pull the fire alarm yet....

Up 6-1 and we lose 8-6. Jackson just doesn't have it yet. He is walking people left and right and leaving pitches right in the middle.

I wonder if Jackson is trying too hard to justify his preseason accolades?

Was really hoping we'd avoid getting swept.

At least the schedule favors us early, Auburn at home next weekend then Mizzou.

He's always been wild and taking counts to full (3-2) but today was brutal.

He threw 74 pitches to record 8 outs. 38 balls, 36 strikes. Walked 5, allowed 3 hits. 4 earned runs all to Jones including the 3-run HR.

Yeah and coming into this year it was "worked all fall to get his control under wraps" and his control looks worse than it did last year. Weird.

He'll get it together I think, the others, idk.

I said a 16-14 in league record this year...but after this weekend it may be a 15-15 or 14-16 kind of year.

Our pitching isn't good enough to sweep anyone, but it's bad enough to get swept.

If you're looking for positives...

Last year we got swept at Vandy then went 1-2 against LSU to start league play 1-5...only to finish league play 16-7.

Our pitching is worse than even I thought and I knew it was garbage.

Taco doesn't make it out of the 3rd inning against fkn Auburn.

Good grief.
