Smarts staff is rather underwhelming at this point.

I don't know why UGA fans think BAMA coaches will make lateral moves to them. I guess they're just dumbasses.

Interesting point. How often does this happen with head coaches, and especially assistants
Depends on the situation. A couple of Tubs assistants took highschool jobs to become vested.

Imo he is the most important person in the football department besides coach saban. This man does it all.

Don't worry about it clown.

Man that is so much for a SC coach. But time has proven he's worth it. Alabama has dominated both lines for some time now in almost every game they play.

One more year and he is tenured. I never thought he would leave
Getting vested is part of it, but he could have coached anywhere (including HS) at the backend of his career to get that last year.
This was about Saban getting him more $$ and the ease of staying with familiar.
This move also should put to bed any Saban to NFL rumors. He'd have let Scott walk if he wasn't planning on coming back himself.

We can just hire Rob Riggle to do basically the same thing
Posted on 12/14/15 at 6:13 pm to Taurus 357
Just look on the tide sideline for a wide open mouth with ginger on top and that will be Cochran

One of Nick Saban's most important recruiting wins in years, getting strength coach Scott Cochran to stay at Alabama.
