Wait, I thought the kid was signing at Bama as of earlier this week? Now, they're finishing in sixth? Damn how times change.

Hopefully the kid is more decisive on the field.

This is all a theory.

But the way this is playing out leads me to believe that our coaching staff told him to "publicly" de-commit, as he was always going to take additional visits. He's seeing what's out there, and feeling more comfortable with his original decision.

247 and Rivals have separately reported that we've had a very high level silent commitment for the past few weeks. It's possible that it's Kongbo.

Again, just a theory. We'll see how it goes down come NSD.

I must stress that all of that is 100% made up by me. Other than 247 and Rivals, separately, alluding to a "silent."

Reminiscent of the Fulmer days. People complained that he started late but then praised him for finishing strong. Fans!

I wouldn't hate for him to be a Rebel, but he looks pretty raw for someone getting so much hype from JC. Honestly, after what Wayne Dorsey was for us as the top JC recruit who had freakish athletic tools, I'd much rather us focus on Jeffrey Simmons. He'll get some pt wherever he goes as a rush end, but I don't think he's much of a difference maker. Seems like he wanted to go to Bama and Saban didn't make him a top priority.

I'm not an expert, but I think it would be very difficult for Kongbo to step in and start on day. We have an obscene amount of talent of talent at DE, right now.

He should still be a very high priority target for us.

This

Kongbo's ceiling is starting in a 3-4 scheme on Sundays in a few years but I think Rivals should've ranked the OL Baldwin that's committed to Bama the #1 overall JUCO player just because he is a polished , can't miss offensive tackle.. Just my opinion though... I hope Ole Miss somehow ends up with JK3 cause he is going to very very good once he gets his technique and pad level worked out.

Agree

He is

JUCO's no matter their ranking are always a risk. The fact that he's green relatively new to the gm he has a high, high ceiling. To this point JK's gotten by on raw athletic ability. He needs at least yr development and S&C

He likes the attention. Simplest answer is usually the right one. I'd rather have a bunch of lunch pail country boys on defense but I understand that probably will never win the NCG.
