Secondary Depth

The big thing that I have been surprised with this season is the depth that seems to be emerging in the secondary. I thought both Nick Ruffin & Stephen Roberts had solid games. Both had a bad penalty but overall I didn't see any massive blown assignments or poor tackling. In fact Roberts should of have had an INT at one point late in the first half.
We have seen great play out of freshman Davis, Dinson & Irvin. Coming into this season I thought we could not afford any injuries in secondary but losing Holsey & Matthews early seems to have allowed us to develop some talent back there. There is a chance Saturday we are down 4 DBs
Holsey
Dinson
Mathews
TJ Davis
But I still have confidence in group especially Countess & C. Davis. Cool to see impact of TRob & Muschamp so quickly at a position group that has been a weakness for many seasons. Very excited to see this group next season with a year of experience under the belt

The difference in coaching is significant. But Davis developing into a corner that is moving toward "shutdown" can't be overstated enough. It is huge allowing others to focus on their man and freeing up a potential blister. Getting Carl back has added immediate impact to the dline as well.
