"What I'm reading is that people are pissed that our football team is losing and are demanding a change, as if we'll get better if we just replace the head coach."

it's 15 years worth of stuff which basically boils down to being unprepared, soft (mentally and physically) and rarely being ready for the moment.

teams take on the personality of their coaches. look at Harbaugh. granted he's a superstar. but he took an absolutely moribund Mich program and has them extremely competitive within 8 months of his arrival.

coach richt has some outstanding qualities, but they do not translate into consistently big football victories. if that is ok with our big donors and administrators, than we have to accept it. but the rank and file uga football fan is done with Richt as uga football coach.

Teams being unprepared is definitely a good argument, but what I don't understand is what he's not doing to prepare his teams, and what a better coach would do differently. I don't follow the day-to-day practices so I don't know what he and his staff are doing (or not doing), but preparedness is a concept made up of actions, and I want to know what actions are being taken or not taken that lead to teams not being prepared so I know that the search for a new coach will lead to someone who will prepare the "right" way.

A lot of empty seats that show up on television at Sanford Stadium is the ONLY way a change will be made. The ONLY way....

Funny thing is I watched the game today wearing a Ga shirt and Disney sweat pants.
