So hire Fuente type up and comer or an older veteran like Briles?

tired of up and comers, if the time comes when auburn has to make that decision, it would be nice to get a proven coach (and no i don't consider a couple good seasons at memphis as proven)

it won't matter as long as Jacobs is calling the shots though

Veteran. But not Briles as he's 60 years old. I say we should be looking for someone between 50-55 years old.

For God's sake no more up and comers. The last two Jacobs has hired have been unproven. Go after a proven coach. Three steps to make Auburn strong and consistent:

1. Fire Jay Jacobs
2. Hire a professional competent AD
3. Go hire Gary Patterson

If he doesn't come I would then look at Fuente. He is a Patterson product and Patterson has said that he is the hardest working coach he has ever seen.
