I understand the general sentiment of your post, but this is the most disconcerting part of it:

They should win. We're still a year or two away from seeing real results from what Bert is building.

To me, that's just unacceptable. This is year 3 for both coaches. If we're getting beaten by Auburn in year 3 because of depth and talent when both coaches are in parallel tenures in taking over programs coming off dumpster seasons from 2012, then I'm completely out on Bert because we're going backwards and not forwards.

Say what you want about Malzahn (I think he's a used car salesman myself), but he make chicken salad out of chicken shite in 2013 and rode a converted DB to an SEC Championship in effort to get the most talented players on the field. It's not like Marshall was some game-changing QB he inherited.

I'm still in Bert's corner and hanging on by a thread, but I'm mad as frick at how this season has turned out, and that will only be amplified if we lose winnable games to the likes of Auburn, State and Mizzou at home when all three have looked putrid for most of the first half of the season.

Auburn is the worst 4-2 team in the nation...They are soft and their D is shite, not to mention their offense

Auburn will pretty much always outrecruit us and have more talent and depth. Just the way it works.

Well yeah it's easier to win with players you largely recruited. 2012 Auburn looked worse than their talent really was. They switched to a pro style when if they had stayed spread up-tempo they probably would have been an 8 win team and Malzahn's turnaround would look much less impressive
