Over at $500,000.

Why was he fired anyhow?

Officially? For breaking NCAA rules regarding the 4 to 1 practice rule. 4 or more players and 1 coach is considered to be an official practice. At the time it happened official practices were not allowed. Jacobs brought xCSG into his office and confronted him about it. He lied, Jacobs showed he had proof. Poof xCSG gone.

The real reason. A combination of xCSG being a ginormous prick and not getting along with anyone. Publicly berating players. Making them stay hours after a game solely to yell and bitch at them. Doing dumb shite like locking the cages so visiting teams couldn't use them. Bringing in 18 NEW players this year knowing he would have to cut 13 or so guys (NCAA limit is 35 on a baseball team to split 13.1 scholarships, but that is another conversation altogether). Refusing to pay staff members for running the baseball camps this summer because he thought they sucked after the fact instead of trying to correct something when he didn't like it at the time. Being an asshat. Running guys out of the program that would have been okay just being benched for someone more talented. These same players whose parents and grandparents pump MILLIONs of dollars into the AD annually. And because xCSG is just a miserable human being and his daughter does porn for a living.

But I am biased. I have had a dozen or so interactions with him and not a one was even close to being positive.
