My guess is that there are plenty of SEC fans who do not go to an opposing teams stadiums without carrying. I think this day and time I would tread lightly when hassling opposing teams fans.

Why do schools like Alabama and LSU have so many fans that have no affiliation to the school?
is this really a question that needs to be answered or only pertains to these two schools?

Because they are good, why else? It's why my team has no problem like this. Moral victory, I suppose.

He should've went home. There wasn't anything out past midnight other than drunks, whores and Chad Kelly throwing touchdowns last Saturday night.

Not surprised. We've got some of the worst fans out there. Pure trash.

Well Alabama has no pro team and a ton of sport-loving rednecks. Soooo....
LSU's problem has gotten better, in part because the Saints acquired a fan base between 2006-2009.

In South Louisiana the "no affiliation" crowd is primarily about The Saints. Easily 3/1. LSU fans generally do have a tie to the University, or started going to games as kids as kept rooting for LSU as they entered adulthood.
The Alabama Sidewalk phenomena is disproportionate in a way that LSU can never approach. And the cultures are completely different. Louisiana is a hospitality culture. We live to eat, drink and be merry-not hang our nutsacks on people, train our wives to crowd dive or sucker punch opposing fans. You can search The State far and wide, and you will not find a "Phyllis from Mulga" . Bama culture has a true sickness around it's lower depths.

yall are crazy, the south in general is a very hospitable culture. Why do you hate us so much. I don't want to hurt or be enemies with anyone. :(

Have they filed a police report yet or are they still waiting for the guy to feel better before getting the police involved?

that and the rant seems to revel in 'dumb alabama fan stories'. I live in Louisiana and see a lot of stupid shite but don't feel the need to run here and post everytime something happens.

I just follow the TSwift code and shake it off

The main difference is that Alabama is a national brand. A player could fart in practice and CNN/ESPN etc would blast it as news.
Yeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that your fans fricking kill people

I don't hate you. I always vote Bama as my favorite place to see a game. Your fans are generally like all the other schools. Our tailgate welcomes them every two years. But that bottom 10% of human trash that have hopped on your bandwagon just don't exist everywhere else, and in such numbers. Every year we hear these stories and watch these rednecks tarnish your program. In other states they would follow professional wrestling. In Alabama, they put a big A on their truck and hurl big gulps out the window and yell "Rooooolllll Tide".....

Man I cant wait for the Alabama LSU game.
My aunt lives in Alabama, so we've gone to every LSU Bama game since the mid 90s. I can whole heartedly say that Alabama has the trashiest fans (besides maybe Buffalo Bills fans in Buffalo) that I've ever been around. When I was maybe 9 or 10, LSU won, so some 40? year old guy decided to push me to the ground while calling me a swamp rat.
But now being of age and being able to handle myself, I love going to TTown because I think it's hilarious to see how trashy their fans are willing to be.
*There are also several fans that are the most nice/welcoming people you'll ever meet. Just like most fan bases, a few bad apples give the entire fan base a bad rep. But admittedly, Bama seems to have more than a few who are on the bad side.
