Said he needed to be benched. He was not very good and ready. Also, said had social media been around he wouldn't have been able to handle it.
Glad to hear he addressed it.

It was the early days of the fan sites on the interwebs, and I remember the abuse being heaped on Leard was brutal - fortunately in those dial-up, pre-Google days, all that criticism was pretty hard to find, unless you knew exactly where to look.

If I was a college player or Elite HS player I would not have any social media accounts and I would not read anything that did.

I would do my best just to workout, school, play, and shag women.

If I did get a site I would put a photo of flipping everyone off and lock it.

I hate to see fans posting shite on players' social media accounts. Yes, the players can make their accounts private or don't have to open them, but fans should have more sense. Granted most of the comments I saw on JJ's Instagram were from fricking teenagers. I wish someone would alert their fricking parents. If it was my kid, I'd be embarrassed.

The next step is fans booing during games. I've heard fans say, "I'm not booing the players, but the coaches." You think the players realize that? Apparently Bama fans were booing during the OM game. It's fricking tacky. If you don't like it, don't go to the games. I'm nervous to see the crowd's reaction at the game this weekend.

With that said I really believe it's time to bench JJ. It was brought up in another thread that when JJ was asked if he was benched, he'd have no reaction. I don't know if any player could have lived up to the hype that was placed on him and this team.

Seems like Gus and Rhett aren't letting him give up on himself and maybe that's why he's still taking snaps. Maybe they're being stubborn or maybe they know that if he just turns the corner everything will be OK. I don't care who is QB as long as we see a change soon.
