Is this the most complete team Sumlin has had while being at A&M?

It is early and a lot of the talent is really young. But it is coming together and if they keep progressing it could be a fun year. I think next year and the year after are going to be the years that it gets really fun.

But to answer the question, I think it may be the most complete team since 2012. The defense looks a bit better and the offense of course looks different without Johnny. But It is more of a total team now vs the last couple of years. IMO

Complete? Maybe. Still probably won't be as good as the 2012 team

This team might have more talent, more evenly distributed among all the positions. But 2012 was still the better team. The defense was underrated, and the JFF heisman year, w/ that loaded offensive line, was just dominant.

It will be an interesting year. The winner of this Alabama/Ole Miss game will be our greatest obstacle.

Nope we suck and everyone should pencil in an auto win becuase there are so many holes in this team.

Eta: I'm sorry I've been reading the rant to much today, yes it's the most complete but not the best talent wise. We do however have a little, not much but a little depth finally

That's nice of you and all, but we won't be as good as 2012 with our third down defense because of #thirdandchavis.

I think so. Definitely deeper than 2012 overall. I don't know if that will translate to a better record though.

Deeper than 2012, but without a magician at QB... and in this game QB is almost everything.

Coach Sumlin said this is the most talented team he has ever had while being a Head Coach.

Yet to be seen. It is definitely the most talented team, and will almost certainly have the best defense, but our defense in 2012 was decent and our offense was AMAZING. Our offense wont be as good this year so it depends on how much better our defense is than the '12 unit.

People forget just how well we were playing by season's end on both sides of the ball in 2012. We closed the year blowing out two top-15 teams and beating #1 Bama on the road. In our final five six games starting with Auburn, our offense scored on over 70% of their drives and the defense was giving up points on only 15% of our opponent's drives.
