He sounded like he was making excuses instead of just saying we missed some opportunities and hopefully that wont happen next time

Just accept we didnt do what we needed to do , give them credit and move on. No bulletin board material needed

Accepted and done for my part.
But, unlike you, I'm glad our head coach hasn't "accepted it". I hope it eats at his guts so much he does everything in his power to turn it around.
