damnit, everyone was saying how he looked good and was in really great shape. Even if he is in the mix this year, it looks like he's not going to be near 100%
If Mitchell gets hurt (knock on wood) we better hope Chig and Godwin are as good as advertised. I can see why we're giving scholly's out to receivers like they're lollipops now.

Looks minor to me, but it's hard to tell with ACL's

You never know with ACL's. Murray played a while in that Kentucky game if you remember and Mitchell was able to bounce around a bit when he did his at Clemson.

Hope he gets well soon... Good news is Godwin & Chigbu are doing well in practice...

WTF are you talking about Mitchell and the Clemson game? There was no "bouncing"... fricking dude's season was over after TG's run...

On tween the hedges' link, Squattenheimer didnt seem too concerned. He never even came out of his squat.

reading the other board, you'd swear Godwin will be competing with Chubb for early Heisman contention.
I'm all in, btw. kool aid tasting mighty good.

Was about to start a tRant thread on this but figured I'd check to see if there was one here. Have there been any updates? I like JSW a lot. When the guy is healthy he's fun to watch.
I read that he just had his right knee scoped for a meniscus injury. I had a meniscus injury recently and it took a few weeks to get back to normal but it didn't require treatment. Hopefully, he just came back too soon (I tried the stairs too soon and paid for it) and he can get over it quickly.
EDIT: Shoulda read further down. I'm glad the rumors and comments are good.

Looks like it was more of a pain injury than hurt. Even so, not concern as our WR position looks to be solid at speedsters. I honestly didn't think JSW would see the field much even at 100%. Best luck to his recovery and hope he took advantage of the "free education."

If Pruitt isn't going to start that SC boy, name a Terry, then he needs to move him back to receiver.
JSW and MM, bless their hearts, aren't every-down receivers; bodies can't hold up. Towns and Johnson are walk-ons. Godwin, Chigbu, Stanley, and Wilson are true freshmen. IMAC has questionable hands and now a nagging hammy. Although the TEs are deep, this WR unit is fricked.
Maybe Shakenneth will blossom into the next Conley, and Hegedus into the next Bennett.

Hell, with Quayvon as some kind of half-assed receiver and maybe move Turman to the slot so he can see some playing time, maybe we will be alright.

Reggie Davis is on the team

you don't know shite about football, do you?
If any RB was going to play slot, it would be Sony or Keith.

Shotty has been talking about a 4-TE set. Apparently Jeb, J. Davis, and Jackson (even at 6'6" 255 lbs) are silky-smooth route runners and they, as a group, have apparently had the best fall camp of anyone.
As far as WR depth goes, JSW going down is a big blow. No doubt. Thankfully the freshmen have looked very good and I expect Godwin to do big things this year. The silver-lining is that WR is probably the one position that is easiest to excel at as a freshman; so long as you know the route tree and playbook, pure athleticism and good hands can overcome most of the technique shortcomings that most freshman come in with.

How about moving Tramel Terry back over to WR for more depth? He was a good receiver coming out of high school.
