He's one of the few on the SEC network I actually paid attention too. He's douchey for sure...but he's an insightful douche.

He's probably one of about maybe 3 people at espn that can talk Georgia football beyond just the main obvious talking points that get regurgitated over and over.

In fact, mcelroy has always seemed pro-Georgia and kind of smitten with the program for some reason to me. Not sure what connection he may have is.

Are you seeing something that I'm not seeing or are we counting the one game he was thrust in as his live experience that wasn't garbage time?

The thing is, not all of those appearances were garbage time. He was going to those games before they were blowouts in some cases. The coaches had designed their gampeplans to get him some actual meaningful minutes.

Thought the same thing. Probably one of the reasons I like him.

but he has more experience in red and black and in the program than GL...that can not be refuted

well, yeah. This is GL first year at UGA. Of course Brice has more experience in the program.

my point is that he and bauta should be ahead of this kid in my mind...regardless of year or experience...

Ramsey looked scared in some his other games too, so I'm not sure that means anything good, or bad. All I know is the QB situation is a huge ?

So, you've uncovered the super top secret hidden fact that Lambert has only been on the team a few weeks?

Congrats on the keen insight.

Besides the bowl, what was not garbage time?

smart arse...I clarified what my point was...and I say again...I don't see how any transfer could be a leg up in competition to two guys who have time in the program...this view (my view)is in contrast to what some are saying here and what your boy McElroy claimed would happen...and in direct response to the topic of the thread...I said nothing about revealing some hidden secret that Lambert just got here...you are just trolling as you always do

he took the field in 8 games last season...whether or not it was all garbage time is personal opinion I guess...

he almost didn't take a snap vs. Mizzou, bobbled it and ran for his life after that.

If Lambert is named the starter that would indicate to me that all this stuff we've been hearing for years about the many, many months needed for a UGA quarterback to learn the system has been nonsense.

Not really debatable, any team with a pulse he saw no scripted passes or forced entry into games. I would say his game vs Kentucky was his best work.

He didn't play vs

Auburn
South Carolina
Florida
Tech
Clemson
Arkansas
Tennessee

Which is understandable because against high caliber opponets you don't throw in your backup so his playing time whether it was scripted/Garbage time we can say that he was placed into no pressure situations so we still don't really know what he is capable of. His one opportunity came with the eye thing/excuse whatever you want to call it so we don't really know what we have with Brice. Could he be really good.....I hope so but he is not exactly had a huge resume to say he should win the job over Lambert who does have some background in starting and winning D1 football games.

or Ramsey is still at the west coast party cause the west coast party don't stop.

or we have a new OC and Bauta and Ramsey are just a spring practice ahead of Lambert

I think Ramsey deserves the first crack at the job but with expectations this year, I hope his leash isn't too long.

As others have said, I would be fine with him playing through struggles if he looked like the guys for the next two years. But with Eason coming in and our strengths pretty much everywhere else on the roster, Richt needs to go with the guy who gives us the best chance in the short term.

If it is Lambert, I hope it gets sorted out before it costs us any SEC games.

none of them deserve anything...they need to earn it in camp.

even as a BR supporter I agree with this...I like the kid but at the end of the day...I like UGA more and want us to win...if CMR sees that in Lambert and it works out, then so be it...Brice can ride the pine all season...
