Yeldon impressing Jags staff, players
I hope he gets that fumbling thing fixed because he does so many things well. The article points out that their OC has him in the QB strategy meetings and he's calling out plays, protections, etc. Dude knows their O already. If he can protect the ball he could have a beast rookie season.

Thanks for posting. Amari and Yeldon are two players who are already impressing NFL coaches and vets not only with their skills, but with their maturity and attention to detail. We are lucky to have had them at Alabama. The same can be said about many other Saban-era Alabama players.

At least he's practicing. Trent can't even do that right now in Oakland.

Yeldon fumbled his first day there

They did the same thing as freshmen at Bama. They both possess a quiet, humble, inner-drive that is increasingly rare in the age of super-star high school recruits

Somehow I knew that was coming

I don't think I've seen another player fumble at the absolute worst times like Yeldon did. Great runner, but the guy had terrible timing.

Except when he had that one play against LSU. And then that monster first down against UGA in the SECCG. Those were displays of impeccable timing.
But then again, he should have stayed in bounds for 1 more second at the end of the game in the 2013 IB. That was absolutely horrible timing.

TJ did have a knack for fumbling, but I will always remember him for this:
ETA: To me, this play will always be his legacy.

Jaguar o line is so awful... I cringed when we drafted him. Set up to fail from day 1.

No doubt. Without his play in that game, and the UGA game that year, there is a good chance we don't win the NC.

Maurice Jones-Drew played on mostly bad/mediocre Jagaurs teams and he had pretty solid career with them. So it's possible Yeldon can be good with them too.
