Mjd had success riding Freddie T's coattails. As a feature back sans Taylor he was the epitome of mediocrity. His most impressive work was returning kicks the first few seasons as the #2 back.

Thank you very much for imbedding this video. What an unbelievable play. My son and I were jumping up and down screaming with joy. Mingo diving at the end made it perfect.

the really odd thing about yeldons fumbles was, he was never held to the same fumble standards as drake. yeldon fumbles, no biggie hes back in the next series. drake fumbles hes back in after a quarter or two.

Yeldon was the starter and received a much larger percentage of the carries. His fumble percentage per carry I would think was much lower than Drakes. Also he rarely if ever got in the doghouse with Saban. Drake stayed in the doghouse with Saban. Yeldon also was a tremendous blocker and knew the playbook like the back of his hand. In summation you have no idea what you're talking about.

You have to admit Yeldon would fumble at the worst possible times. We'd be inside the opponent's 5 yard line and he would cough it up. It was like he was so focused on crossing the goalline that he didn't protect the ball.

I freely admit Yeldon frustrated the hell out of me with some of his fumbles at terrible times, but for the reasons I mentioned he was given a longer leash than Drake. It appears Drake has matured but there was a time I thought he was going to be off the team.

so you admit drake was held to a higher standard than yeldon. just think, with drake being so much better of an athlete than yeldon, had he gotten the carries nobody would be talking about yeldon.

There were always reports of Drake struggling with ball security in practice and scrimmages. Probably why he played less than Yeldon and was benched more quickly after fumbling in a game than TJ

I never said that. They were held to the same standard. Yeldon lived up to that standard and Drake struggled doing that his first few seasons.
