Used to do the Dallas cowboys games as well. I'd say he's a Texan first, slobby bastard second

The Gary Verne Power Hour Marathon Show is usually full steam ahead when Bama is winning at the half.

I honestly don't think Verne gives a flying frick about the sport of football period. It's just his job to announce it.

Verne is awesome. Once he's gone, y'all are going to realize how much better he was was than the Gus Johnsons of the world.

I do hope Brad Nessler comes over to CBS once Verne packs it in.

Watch the Bama - Ole Miss replay last year. Even when Ole Miss was dominating the 2nd half, Gary was fellating Bama.

They don't pull for any team. They would be running some local radio show if they were true Homers. It always appears they pull for the winning teams, simply because they are televised by them so much. Bama on CBS the max 5 times last year, for example.

But, Gary does not like LSU, or he wouldn't pronounced the school as " el ess HUGH".

Haha, it is true. I can't stand either of them, I dread watching an LSU or SEC game in CBS just because of them.

Most of you guys have short memories. Verne was a massive homer for Phil Fulmer and Tennessee back when they were good. They've been so bad in recent years that he's been forced to temper his enthusiasm for them but the instant Tennessee becomes a top program again, his homerism will be very apparent to people watching the games at home.
