Stir of Echoes
There's no doubt that millennials are giant pussies. On the flip side, they are also the hardest nut to crack (no sexual references please). There's been more market research on millennials than almost any other generation and still companies cannot figure out how to market to this group. Millennials embrace doing things their way. They are fiercely independent and at the same time fiercely entitled. Even millennials don't know what "their way" is, which is why they are a giant monster from a marketing standpoint.

I need to know what age group falls under "millenial" so I know if I need to be offended or not.

Generally people born from 83-95, imho.
The gnashing of teeth from older generations about us millenials is funny and the same as it ever was. The younger generations are always seen as soft, lazy, and entitled. We'll be saying the same things about our kids.
Summary of thread: yawn

'm married with a good job at 24. Completely independent, but my mom and dad raised me right. I wouldn't blame kids for how their parents raised them. You're a product of the environment you're raised in. Fact. Another fact, the parents of millenials have sucked for the most part.

During my first career the ones I have fought beside fought well and could be fearless. While I have noticed a general disregard for moving into leadership positions. Now in my second career, I have observed solid habits and traits but they require slightly more information to make simple decisions. The first group would be from the 80s-90s and the second group would be through thatnlate 90s.

"Millennials (also known as the Millennial Generation or Generation Y) are the demographic cohort following Generation X. There are no precise dates when the generation starts and ends. Researchers and commentators use birth years ranging from the early 1980s to the early 2000s."

Ok, I fall in that category. You could probably call me a borderline pussy.

Half right.
Millennials are easy to market to. Convince them something is "authentic" and you'll have them scraping their faces with cheap replicas of razors from the 1940s.
They aren't really independent. Most Millennials I know parrot the same bullshite politics coming from every mainstream news source.
They're total followers, who want to believe they are unique by playing records (oooohhhh) and dressing stupid.

I say that as an older one myself.
We bring you 3rd wave feminism, SJWs who want to stifle speech, and we voted heavily for Obama. I hate my generation.

I think that's hipsters, which are a subset of millennials.

I think you are referring to hipsters and not millenials
Most millenials I know hate mainstream news/media b/c they know it's fed from the gov't and prefer researching and coming up with their own conclusion
Maybe it is the people I know or where I'm from, but we prefer to be independent and self sufficient

Yeah, they are just a portion of the generation.

If I had a dollar for every time an old person used the word millennial I could buy a house in the economy they ruined.

What's particularly frustrating about baby boomers is they say millennials are lazy, entitled, etc.
Baby boomers could go to college for pennies compared to what millennials have to pay. They could buy a new car every three years working in a mud factory. Oh, and that job at the mud factory? They got it just by going up and asking for work. They could support a whole family on their mud money and their wives could stay at home and take care of the kids.
My aunt and uncle still live on an acre in a 3 bedroom 2 bath house they bought for $16,000.
My father in law went to med school at Lsu for $3,500. That's total, not just one semester.
A coworker told me a story that he got a $250 scholarship back in the 70s. That paid for all his tuition and books for a year.
It was MUCH easier for baby boomers to get started because they didn't have to deal with all the bullshite that millennials do. Cars were dirt cheap and you didn't need insurance. Every mistake you've ever made didn't follow you around because of the Internet.
The Millenials' parents told them their entire lives that they had to do well in school so they could go to college. They finish college with $50,000 of student loan debt, can't find a job in their field, and get labeled as lazy and entitled because they're waiting tables to pay rent. Then their parents say "why did you go to college if you're just going to wait tables? You could have done that without a degree."
Baby boomers need to realize how easy they had it instead of retiring at 60 and sitting in their recliners all day whining about lazy kids.

Most people from most generations are pussies. It's just that now people have the ability to flaunt it to a larger audience on social media, camera phones, etc.
I will say that societal acceptance of pussy behavior has become more widespread.
