It's pretty obvious, look at the generate that is now in their 20's. They don't know how to fend for themselves at all.

You know, I'm 27 and I live in a foreign country -- I made my own business from nothing.

I had no friends when I arrived, just my girlfriend and nothing else.

At this point I have two businesses, one legit and one off the books.

What I do know, is that these fat fricks in their 40's and 50's can't tour here without bitching about simple shite.

''Why is there no AC? What do you mean you don't have ice? Why did it take you 20 minutes to bring me my food?''

Quit this bullshite.

Every generation has their challenges. We just happened to come up in a rapidly changing world and are feeling that friction.

The generation wars are a pointless exercise.

To all:

Generation arguments are so stupid. It's easy to brand a segment of people a certain way depending on the glasses you're looking through.

But as long as we're going to make them, here's an antithesis to the OP.

Mid-late 30's - mid-late 50's

These people never dealt with real war during their young prime. They jizzed all over their faces during the 90's, hoorahing American greatness with zero fricking clue as to why we were booming, and could've gave zero shits if their little moment of glory was going to cause a crash down the road. Zero concern for the environment. Zero foresight. A bunch of self-serving, narrow minded, bitches who threw away all the resistance, independent thought, and consciousness growth that happened in the the anti-war Vietnam era.

Millenials:

I'm no fan of selfies and 90% of the bullshite my generation likes. One of my main circles of friends are 45-50 years old.

At least, this generation gives a frick about what's next. Millennial are responsible for the uptick in consciousness that is taking place globally. It takes a set of balls to be independently minded, not submissive to everything you're told. To think about others, and the planet, and to understand that we can't have it all without paying a price.

I'm not going to defend skinny pants, or the irony of well groomed hair with messy beards.

But there's no way this is true.

At least these frickers like culture. They read books, generally. Pretty much every city has a rising area of great food and great craft beer thanks to 'hipsters'.

I bet you, you and your uncultured, espn addicted, porn crazed, non-reading self is the most worthless segment of the population.

95% true. Spoiled generation of "everybody gets a trophy" kids with mobile phones who expect instant gratification and little willingness to earn the experience to get it.

frick them. they will be the demise of this country.

Just sayin... You bitches need to man up.

I'm not talking about free-thinking people who produce things. More power to them. They drive progress.

I'm talking about the happily unemployed and unproductive coffee shop crowd. You know, the people who somehow combine self-pity with overwhelming condescension.

Clever cover to a dumb statement.

Whatever makes you feel better about watching sportcenter re-runs while picking on people who are breathing culture and taste into our bud light platinum society.

i'm in this camp. us early 80's kids are a weird group. most of the people i grew up with don't bitch about things and take care of their business, but i grew up in a Czech/German farming community so that's a tainted pool...

but i know a lot of people my age now that i'd lump in with the millennials as well for a lot of reasons.

i think the "my grandparents generation was great and the one below me sucks" will live to the end of time.

i love the greatest generation, but for the most part a lot of them were racist bigots as well.

we can blame the baby boomer generation (who bitch about millennials more than anybody else) for the financial "crisis" we're in, but they were the people blazing the technology path in the last half of the century and got us to the point where we were "devastated" financially, by what in actuality, was a small downturn. the 2008 collapse was a blip compared to the 1930s because we had a much stronger economy to fall back to after a recession. if we had that recession in the 60s-80s it would have hurt a lot worse.

Every generation has had some great strengths and weaknesses and will till Jesus comes back, the sun implodes, or whatever your personal apocalypse is.

i will say this. one generation in particular likes to blame other people for their problems.

I don't pick on the ones who breathe culture and taste into our society. I pick on the ones who pretend that they do. I enjoy good food, craft beer, literature, art, etc. just like they do. I just also get up in the morning and go to work.

I know.

I felt a bit of the lolz as I wrote that sentence.

But, idk, seems like there was this 'anti' movement going on, this growing consciousness, and then it was kind of visibly beaten out of society. We got into a more passive 70's, and then the 80's had no resistance, and the 90's was a wankfest. We're just now seeing the resistance come back, at least that's how I see it.

The hippie-dippie stuff was bullshite. I don't like it. And I really think a lot of that stuff was a product of CIA infiltration. Guy's like Leary were on the payroll. McKenna eventually too. The music, the whole aura was instigated by the intelligence community. That aside, even if it wasn't, I don't like it.

Exactly.

Which is why mainstream news is getting killed in ratings, despite a huge effort to keep that from being well known.

The people that watch mainstream news are older. Fact.
