Not that I agree with it, but my S.O. also has to do a ton of recs for sorority. She was a president and is a chapter adviser now (I think). Anyway, we didn't know what ENO'ing was either. She contacted the current president of said sorority and she said in some sororities ENO'ing is a big thing. It's like the equivalent of saying you enjoy the outdoors now

I have been engaged in processing 02 to CO2 that I have become really good at it and feel it should appear on all future job applications

What's the difference in this, and going deer hunting but not seeing anything?
If you hike out, take a peaceful rest then hike back then this is ok with me.. Who cares what people do in their free time? The gaming board makes ENOers look like fricking Louis and Clark..

I have one and it's awesome for camping,
Get a Clark's Jungle Hammock and you spit upon hearing 'ENO'. It's expensive, but if you through-hike extensively (especially solo), they are an absolute godsend.

"Oh, HempHead, I love to hike, camp, climb, kayak, etc.,"
"Awesome! Where do you like to go? When was the last time you went out?"
"Uh......."

I don't see the problem listing it as a hobby. Not like they are saying its an activity. He'll watching tv and movies is considered a hobby too

Those aren't hobbies. They are passive activities that require no investment or thought.

Hobby-an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure.
if you enjoy doing it when you have time, anything can be a hobby. Thought not required.

I too enjoy the outdoors. I enjoy it from my porch with a beer in my hand.
You could say I'm practically grizzly adams.

All things totally worthy of submission on a resume.

I've never had a resume in my life. I'm a terrible employee, anyway.

Next time I apply for a job with a female boss I am going to put down bean flicking as a hobby. Either I get cut before being a liability for a lawsuit or I am on the fast track to speedy promotion.
Seems pretty win win there.

I was thinking ENO'ing was doing coke and being aloof while listening to atmospheric electronica from the early 80's.

The above is correct.
My wife and I both have to deal with a lot of Greek shite in our line of businesses as well (I write recs for students, my wife handles design and printing for sorority resumes).
I agree that if this were a "normal" recommendation or resume, then this would be idiotic. But it's a Greek one. It's a way of the girls/guys showing that they like to do things that the Greek scene thinks is cool (in this case ENOing).
Anyway, it's a little ridiculous regardless, but I can see their line of thinking.
