I'm on Lake Murray for a short time more ... we just recently sold our house here after twenty years. My wife and I will be moving out to our farm full time.
But we've got 54 acres at the upper lake at Santee near the diversion canal which we call "fish camp" and have for years. When I bought it back in the early 90s (after Hugo and after we sold our house on the IOP), it wasn't expensive. I leased it to a movie company when they were making a movie about The Hunley in the 90s. Since then it's just been our fish camp. I put a couple of connexes down there and we camp out, I had a well drilled, we installed a shower and bathroom ... it's off limits to the women, it's just for the men. We've had some great times down there over the years.
We've got a condo at Litchfield but other than fish camp on Santee that's all the lowcountry I do anymore these days. We're about to sell our condo in Honolulu - it's up for sale. So I am planning on spending a lot of time at fish camp in coming years. Probably going to build a cabin and pole building out there or something. Meeting with the gravel people to have them bring in riff raff and #57 stone this weekend. It's going to be my getaway place soon ... I could, conceivably, live off the land at that place with the wild pigs and turkey and deer down there to go along with the fish. I'm going totally solar down there except for a back up small generator.
Anyways ... I could talk about that stuff all day. I love it down there. Some serious recruiting territory too right there in Cross and Berkeley County. My old buddy Jerry Brown swears some of the best athletes in the country are born and raised in that area. So I may get involved in some sort of community programs to help the kids in my old age ... at least that's what I want to do. I always enjoyed coaching when my kids were little.
If you know where Black's Landing and Hilltop are ... then we're a stone's throw from there.

Brother I graduated from a small liberal arts college in Clinton SC. Ton of friends scattered all over the state. Many around the lake and also the low country. Always looking for folks that love to fish those areas. Glad to see some on the rant. I've got 150 acres in middle ga. And if we ever get a pig problem you will have to come on down.

Read where James may cancel out OV and go to UGA instead.

Yep I'm a Blue Hose..Talking about Jamy? If so I don't know, about him cancelling the visit (have also heard that) but most of us think he will eventually go to UGA. Also recent interviews give us hope about keeping Wyatt. It's been a good recruiting year for us.

Yea I was talking about Jaymest, stupid autocorrect. Had a few of my buddies go to PC.
I think we get Watt but yall flip Williams, felt that was for a while now. Told my buddy on the golf course this was likely back in october.

I wouldn't say we all expect JW to flip. I feel like most of us don't. But maybe that's just me.

I'm confident we close with Wyatt, Sterling, Kinlaw, and Brad Johnson. I do think we lose Williams, though.

Over on TBS, it's not likely but where there is smoke....
It came from UGA beat writer though, he added it is unlikely but not out of the realm of possibilities.

TBS ... that's The Big Spur right? That's JC's and Tony's site?
That would be crazy nuts. I promise you, that is one thing that would be a kick in the nuts. I can absolutely guarantee you that no one on our staff would see that coming. That would be nuts. I just cannot imagine that happening. That would be a major red flag of the worst kind and I'm not just talking one recruit or one class ... it would be a big danger signal.
I have got to go with ... no way that happens. No way. I met Williams on a visit during the season and if that were to happen it would shock a lot of people. He may flip, who knows ... but I just cannot begin to imagine him cancelling his OV with us for this weekend.

Yea that's the one, like I said it's a rumor that isn't likely to occur.

I wouldnt think he would cancel his OV either. The folks on our side are saying all kind of stuff. I have no inside info. Its been interesting reading stuff from the other side of this deal. It confirms that not many really know what hes gonna do. Im a big CF fan but didnt go to UGA. Like many sidewalk fans I follow a bunch of teams. Like a ton of small school guys I have adopted a few other programs.
Spurrier stepping down will end up being an interesting discussion point in History (probably a 30-30 segment someday). If hes still at USC then CMR might still be at Ga. Many of our fans think CMR was shown the door sooner than later so we wouldnt lose Kirby. No telling who gets Miami, Boom is ?? Probably 1/2 our current class signing w/ (UGA) is somewhere else and CKS is still at Bama (likely)or Maybe gets the LSU job over yaw yaw. Anyways its what makes CF fun to follow.

This thread has been quite depressing the past couple of days.

Yeah no kidding..... If he does flip it won't be the end of the world. There will be some other elite DB next cycle

Yeah things haven't been going well for old UF. Richt getting hired along with strong at USF and FSU is really starting to cut into their recruiting

And Lane Kiffin at FAU and Butch Davis at FIU. Things aren't looking up for them at the moment.

Sterling down to USC and Tennessee, will make decision Monday or Tuesday.
Beal's mother also said they will be in Columbia this weekend. Dunno how much I like it having him here with Jamyest.
