Not sure, most pre season polls have Mizzou ranked below UGA, Tennessee and Arkansas so I think their fan bases are hyped more than Mizzou fans. This would also indicate a further fall if those teams don't live up to the hype.
Agreed - right now. But I suspect if either Arkansas or Tennessee collapses early, their fans will simply revert back to where they were at the beginning of last season, while Missouri fans should be sustaining a higher level of expectation at this point.

Florida lost 8 NFL draft picks, has an unknown commodity at QB, a miserably bad OL, and a seemingly weaker DL. How will they be better than last year?
Still deep on Defense, Grier>Driskel at QB, our OL was miserably bad last season, and our coaching staff is vastly improved.

As others have said, I wouldn't call it truly "falling flat", but Arkansas is not going to go 9-3. I see them as 8-4 or 7-5 in the regular season. Some national outlets discussing them as a top 15 team seems hasty.
I've looked up about eight preseason rankings, and I haven't seen one as high as #15 yet. If there is one, it's an outlier. I've been seeing 20-25, with a couple not even having us ranked at all. I wouldn't feel comfortable ranking us any higher than #21, truthfully.

Some say Auburn doesn't have tradition but they have a great college football tradition; they fall flat on their asses when they are hyped up in the off season.

I think the answer is Missouri - not because I think they will be terrible, but because they now expect to compete if not win the SEC East each year
Well, based on recent history, Mizzou should expect to compete for their division's title. Will they do it again? Who knows? Pinkel seems to find a way. Our offensive line, QB, and RBs return for the most part. We have questions at WR (just like last year). Defense seems to reload on the line. LBs could be a question mark, but our secondary might actually be better. We shall see what we shall see, but disappointment in a a "big way" would probably something less than 8/9 wins. We also get to play Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina at home.
2007 12-2 Big 12 - North Division Champions
2008 10-4 Big 12 - North Division Champions
2010 10-3 Big 12 - North Division Champions
2013 12-2 SEC - Eastern Division Champions
2014 11-3 SEC - Eastern Division Champions

Strictly among the teams that won their bowl game last year, whom do you think will fail to live up to expectations?
well that makes it easy

This is an unfair poll. It's bound to be an SECeast team as the SECwest embarrassed the conference by losing almost all their bowl games in humiliating manners.

I think the schedule looks a lot worse than it actually is...Bama is breaking in a new QB and the style of game will keep this game close. Ole Miss has worse problems at QB and there scheme fits right into what Robb Smith Likes to do. LSU, another with QB issues more times than not is within 17 points or less. I like our chances with aTm.
If we're going to make a run at the West, it better be this season because it for sure won't be in 2016 IMO

@ Tenn followed by @ Alabama is not something I would want to see on my team's schedule. Then @ Ole Miss, followed by @ LSU could be very bad as I sure both those teams want revenge.
Going 8-4 wouldn't be falling on our faces, it would actually be an improvement over last year.

I think what keeps Arkansas in all games with a depth on both lines.
In this league if you can rotate quality depth on the offensive and defensive lines you have a chance to win a lot of games.
I think that's the issue I have with Tennessee breaking through this year. Depth in the trenches. Arkansas is probably the deepest, with quality depth on the DLine that I've seen in my lifetime.
That alone is what makes me think Arkansas is an 8-9 win team. With a few breaks, maybe they win one or two more.

So did Arkansas and Texas A&M go to the East...or are you just a dumbass?

We're going to be losing so much on offense that I kind of don't even want to think about '16.

Rohan Gaines is the only SR. listed on the defenses 2 deep though.

That's essentially going to make us a less talented, less deep Florida. I hope I'm not supposed to get excited about that thought.

Just curious, but have you looked at our DL depth? I would wager not.
FTR, I don't agree with what the Vol fan said earlier in this thread about being "razor thin at DT". We're considerably deeper than last year.
We return 2 of the best edge rushers in the country, and probably the best tandem in the SEC. The depth behind them is loaded with 4 and 5 star players. (Corey Vereen, Chris Weatherd(Hybrid), Kyle Phillips, Darrell Taylor, Andrew Butcher)
At DT we bring back Danny O'Brien, Owen Williams, Dimayra Mixon and Kendall Vickers. To add to that, for the first time in years we're bringing in 2 - 5* game changers at DT in Kahlil McKenzie and Shy Tuttle. That list doesn't include Quay Picou and several others.
This is the deepest Tennessee has been on the defensive line in a long time.

My thoughts exactly. I wouldn't trade our DE rotation with anyone in the country. All in all, our DL will be a strength.

Most likely candidates are Arkansas, UGA, and Tennessee. I'm not on this board, but it's not like Mizzu brings back a lot to get excited about. Mauk, Hansbrough, and a few guys on defense and that's it.
So going by schedule, I'd say Arkansas. I think that offense is going to be really good if Allen has taken the next step, however, I have yet to see them reload at defense, and they lost a few key pieces in the front 7 then led them to the 12th ranked run defense overall.
It's not that I think they'll decline, what I do think, is that they will probably win only one or two more regular season games. Watching them play last year, they should have won 3 more games at least, but they couldn't finish the job.
8-4 is most likely their record.
