Same thing happened to me with uverse. I got the first year for $90/month for internet and U300 tv and they kept sending me the full bill and I had to call in probably for the first 6 months to get them to correct it. But, that is pretty much the only issue I've had with them.

The internet is not as fast as Comcast, but when I had Comcast, their internet was down all the time. Uverse has gone down 3 times in the almost 3 years I've had it. I work from home, so internet is essential and when Comcast was going down weekly, and at points daily, I just couldn't take it anymore. They also wouldn't budge on the bill after all the issues with the internet, so I said frick em.

Luckily for me, we're getting Google fiber where I am in the next year or so, which has already forced both Comcast and Uverse to say they will start offering super high speed internet at competitive prices. We'll see what happens when Google comes on board. Finally, some real competition.
