We switch back and forth every 12 months or so for pricing reasons. They are both overpriced when the "deals" run out, and they both have terrible customer service. The people who come out and install/service are also equally incompetent.
Comcast has better internet speed and you can use your own modem/router. AT&T requires you to use their equipment and they have built-in charges for it every month. The plus side to AT&T is you can send back their equipment via UPS; you don't have to go to one of those disgusting satellite offices and deal with horrible people. You also only need one hot wire in the house, which was nice because the cable outlet in the master bedroom is in a stupid place, but that didn't matter since that TV was synced up to the downstairs TV through some kind of magic signal.
We actually just decided to dump cable and go back to Comcast internet. AT&T internet really isn't that great. So, we had one of their incompetents come out this past week and half-arse install our internet. We figured the rest of it out ourselves.
Google Fiber can't get here soon enough.
