Auburn and Clemson are made for each other. Neither team has a dominant television market position, huge recruiting territory nor consistent enough success to be considered "big name game"

Auburn just isn't a big enough name/draw for quality opponents to schedule AU instead of other opponents. They wouldn't be getting a lot for a guaranteed L on their schedule

frick frick frick the ACC and frick Clemson. If we have to play an ACC team, let it be FSU or Miami. At least with Miami we get the south florida recruiting market. With FSU, thats one we used to play often, its relatively close to Auburn and those were usually great games.

I cant stand Dildo Sweeney and have no interest in Clemson.

Meh, Auburn has held it's own on TV lately. The AU/KSU game last year beat out NFL Thursday Night Football. Auburn had the 8th highest bowl game rating on one of the worst time slots in bowl season (morning after NYE). The AU/Mizzou SECCG tied for the highest-rated college football game in 2013 (tied with the Alabama/TAMU game). The AU/OU BCSNCG rated higher than UA/LSU & UA/ND.

There are plenty of other teams that I think are either down/building that would benefit from an OOC game against the big bad SEC.

Miami, North Carolina, BYU, Virginia, BC, Pitt, Nebraska, PSU, Oklahoma State, Arizona, & Arizona State are some games I would like to see instead of the Clemson retread.

Just look at some of these matchups and tell me that we couldn't get some of these deals.

We are but a cut below the elite teams. I think Auburn is a desirable opponent for any but the top 5/10 all time programs. If you're Michigan or ND or OSU, you can get more bang for your loss by playing UGA or Alabama. But otherwise I think we can and should get other big names.

And we're a much bigger name than Clemson.
