I don't see how having people on welfare picking up trash takes jobs away from the current people doing them. Most of the people I see picking up trash are convicts. So please explain how welfare members picking up trash that convicts use to do is a loss of jobs? I know I see tons of trash in parks, roads, etc.

Since you are all for the decriminalizing of drug charges, there would absolutely be a void to fill in that department. You're headed in the right direction (as always).

I say legalize weed and other less hazardous drugs and prostituion. Tax the hell out of it and regulate it.

Not what I said or intended to imply. Those people need to go find employment some other place.

okay, then.
The folks who WERE doing an honest day's work for an honest day's pay are sent away and told "go FIND somewhere else to work so these welfare folks can have your jobs"?
And...IF...these folks have any delay in finding said work (surely, MANY will be living paycheck to paycheck)...what do you propose to do about that?
See...IF these same folks cannot find DIFFERENT jobs quickly...they have to go right back to the same Gov that displaced them and get paid to do the same work they were doing BEFORE..but, now the Gov is paying OTHERS to also do that work.
It just seems so odd that one would continue to fight for this silly idea.

I didn't say the change would be easy. But we have inflated govt and inflated entitlement programs. It kills 2 birds with 1 stone.

I'd summon the directors of the FBI, CIA, NSA, et al,and the chief commandes of military intelligence to Camp David. I'd thell them: Go ahead and tell me now evereyting WE know that I don't know. If I didn't think I'd gotten enough I would tell them that my first order of busines whould be to fire them all and bring in my own peoople. Then I'd listen for as long as they would spill the beans.
