The project won't be cheap. Low-end estimates begin around $70 million with that number rising north of $120 million if the field-club seating becomes a reality and the aluminum bench seating is upgraded to chair-back seating. The re-worked end zone would hold approximately 9,500 patrons in all, which means it wouldn't yield a meaningful rise in stadium capacity.

I missed this when I initially read the article but there appears to be no added capicity so I would assume they would make up for it in the cost of tickets?

I'm not an economics expert so maybe someone can chime in with the value of making such an addition? I agree that it looks nice but gosh that's a lot of money to spend

It would affect some 9700 seats and I'd imagine it would bump them up from Young Alumni/Season Tickets to some upgrade over TUF.

Here is the breakdown for 1000, 1500,2000 per ticket in contributions per year contribution amount + years to recoup cost of 120mil$

1000x - $9,700,000 - 12.5 years
1500x - $14,550,000 - 8.25 years
2000x - $19,400,000 - 6.2 years

That is assuming no annual contribution for any of those 9700 seats.

Yea, more club level seating, which cost more. I would bet it probably increases capacity by 2500 or so, which wouldn't be meaningful as the article says, but would be a small increase.

Ok, so it seems that the seats should pay for themselves and will improve the gameday experience. Jay Jacobs good decision for the month is done (j/k )

In regards to bowling in the stadium, it seems like the current trend is to build stadiums smaller but with enhanced amenities. I think the current plan meets that demand moreso than expansion would.
