I don't understand why other rival fans care about our QB situation every damn year. You were involved in a thread just like this one last year. Alabama's QB situation has been pretty stable. We had JPW for two of Saban's coaching yrs. Whether he was fully developed is up for debate, but he did set a lot of records at UA, and he lead the team to an 11-2 record as a SR. I would consider him a success. Saban's #1 job is to win games with his team and he won games with JPW. Then we have McElroy who was very successful at UA. He wasn't a world beater, but the staff at the time developed him enough for him to fulfill his role at Alabama and a championship is in the trophy case. Then we have AJ who was wildly successful at Alabama. AJ holds most of the passing records, 2 (TWO) National Championships, and one of the highest win percentages. Then we have Blake Sims, a converted RB that worked his arse off, had patience and fulfilled his role last season by being a leader to his team. He benefitted from Lane Kiffin's coaching and he brought Bama their 24th SEC Championship. Based on the 4 QB's above, I'd have to say Saban has developed them to sufficiently run HIS system and more importantly WIN games. That is the bottom line in college football. So, please excuse me if I sit back and watch Saban do what he does for yet another year. Because there is no need for me to worry about Bama's QB situation... Lawd knows you Aubs worry enough that us Bammers don't have to.

Good though answer. I never even mentioned QB development in my post, but for some reason bama fans always read too much into a simple question. I expected someone to list the potential losers in the race and explain why. It turned into an indictment of QB development by Saban, and that was because of the Bama posters.

Your simple question has no simple answer. You know how Saban is about his depth chart and you how he handles his QB's every single year. The bottom line is that Saban knows how to develope a QB, he knows how to navigate a roster full of top talent and he knows how to put the player on the field that give him the beat chance to win games.

Like I stated in an earlier post - attrition is almost guaranteed. It may not reach Auburn's level of attrition, but we are bound to lose a couple of guys in the next few months.
