I don't. It's a ploy by the Big X to stop the talent advantage for the SEC. Several SEC football programs sweep up most of the best athletes, especially in the talent-laden Southeast. Also, UK is vacuuming up the best basketball prospects prospects and channeling them into the NBA.

The Big X is interested in talent parity, not academic parity. They, with the PAC were once powerful enough to effect their will. That isn't the case anymore. The SEC, ACC and Big 12 can easily counter any initiative by the Big X.

Besides, ESPN polled the nation and 88% favored keeping the status quo.

I also think they want to push the NBA to increase the age limit. Of course, this is dependent on the owners wanting it, too, or they would be taking the risk of simply missing out on the best players altogether.
